THE CHALLENGE

With the launch of his workhorse leather glove company, Give’r, Bubba had reached his max output—usually around 18-20 hours—in a traditional workday.

“I believed there was a badge of honor that comes with putting so much into your company,” said Bubba. “There are times where that’s needed, but it’s not sustainable. I got to a point where no more juice could be squeezed out of that fruit. I had to look for alternative options.”

THE JOURNEY TO tHE 0.01%

According to Bubba Albrecht

THE ONE PAGE BUSINESS PLAN

Give’r can’t live without the One Page Business Plan. It has put us in a position where—every single time a challenging scenario arises—this document serves as our foundation, our map, our compass and it enables easier navigation through whatever we encounter. That emanates into your marketing, your culture–it gives a common language to everyone on the team.

We’re no longer reacting after it’s too late. Our whole team now lives and breathes it.

THE A-PLAYER HIRING TOOLKIT

I didn’t know how or where to begin with hiring a contractor or virtual assistant. The Job Scorecard and the A-Player Hiring Toolkit really helped me do that well. No business can afford to hire haphazardly. And we don’t.

We recently had two contractors come on as full employees. They love our team and what we’re doing that much. That says a lot about how well this process works. When people are saying that they want to be on your team, want to play harder, that they’re hungry for it–that’s awesome and we can overcome a lot.

TACTICAL ADVANCES

The commitment to working ON the business at the TLP Tactical Advances, hearing people be honest and vulnerable–there’s no BS for that weekend. We get right to it.

There are frequent breakthroughs at those live events. Energy. Joy. Excitement. The energy in the room just keeps feeding on itself. Prior to the Flywheel exercise at one Tactical Advance, I just couldn’t connect the dots. But everyone saw it unfold for me and we all had the lightbulb moment for MY business, right there in the room.

It’s a collective vibe that’s impossible to fake and insanely powerful when you find it.

WHY I JOINED THE COHORT

It all started when I connected with BuddyPegs founder, Scott Fitzgerald, another entrepreneur already in the Cohort,” said Bubba. “He could see from my body language and tone that I had been running the engine at high RPMs, I cared, and I needed help. I hadn’t seen what it means to invest in yourself with mentorship and coaching.

After talking to Scott and others in the cohort, I knew that Bill was the real deal. I was convinced. The more I knew, the more I was realizing I didn’t know. Bill has been through this more than a few times.

It took me from solo in the wilds of the jungle, feeling like I could be destroyed at any moment, to a band of brothers, a community. It REALLY changed my mindset.
